Dr. Nora Eifler, a PhD structural biologist, develops an innovative connection between science and music. She transforms protein sequences into sounds: "Proteins consist of amino acids, and the sequence of these amino acids makes each protein unique."

She translates the letter code of amino acids into chord progressions like E – D – F – A, creating novel melodies that can be played on the piano or arranged for various ensembles.

In this lunch event, Dr. Eifler provides insights into her fascinating work and presents a live musical performance of her protein compositions with her band.
