Pint of Science is coming to the Novartis Pavillon for the first time and invites you to three inspiring evenings exploring biomedical research in Basel – from its roots to its future.  
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6pm - 8pm (Doors open at 5.30pm)

**Day 1 – The Past: Unlocking the Past & Understanding Life**

Landmark scientific breakthroughs that shaped Basel as a leading life sciences hub.

**Day 2 – The Present: Fighting Disease: How does Switzerland contribute to treating disease?**   
*May 19, 2026 │ 6pm - 8pm*  
Major ongoing research projects from industry and academia, including innovative work from the University of Basel.

**Day 3 – The Future: The Future of Medicine: What comes next?**   
*May 20, 2026 │ 6pm - 8pm*  
Emerging ideas and directions that could define the next generation of biomedical research.

**About:**   
**Pint of Science** is an international science festival that takes place every year in May across 23 countries worldwide. It started in the UK in 2013 and made its way to Switzerland in 2018.

The idea is simple: bring scientists out of the lab and into everyday spaces like pubs and cafés, where they can meet a broader audience. In a relaxed and informal setting, science becomes more accessible, helping to bridge the gap between researchers and the public.

This year, Pint of Science is once again taking place across Switzerland, with events in **Baden, Basel, Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano, Neuchâtel, Salvan, Sion, St. Gallen and Zürich**.
